Which character is the best?
Each character has his or her own sets of strengths and weaknesses, but many players like Peach and Toad because they have the best Speed ratings. The heavier drivers like Wario and Bowser take a while to get going, but their top speeds are very good.

How do I throw a Banana in front of my kart?
Hold Up while pressing the L Button. To drag a Banana or a Shell, press and hold the L Button. Single Red and Green Shots can be fired backwards by holding Down while pressing the L Button.

Is there any way to recover after running over a Banana?
Yes. If you run over a Banana, quickly press the B Button to keep on racing. If you see a musical note appear under your kart, then you've done it correctly. This technique works for other obstacles as well, such as puddles and ice patches.
